Custom sheet metal components and assemblies, cut, folded, welded and finished in Dandenong South.
Amapro manufactures custom sheet metal components and assemblies in Dandenong South, supporting businesses across Melbourne and Australia.

We combine CNC laser cutting, punching, press brake folding, welding and finishing with design review and prototyping. Send us a technical drawing or early concept and we can assess the material, part geometry, quantity and production requirements.

We manufacture cabinets, panels, brackets, chassis and equipment housings to customer specifications rather than a fixed catalogue. Projects can progress from design and engineering input through prototype evaluation to small- and medium-volume production.
Processes
We combine cutting, forming, joining, machining and finishing processes according to each part’s geometry, material, quantity and finish. CNC manufacturing also supports repeat production without relying on dedicated hard tooling.

CNC laser cutting follows a programmed profile, while turret punching produces repeated holes, slots, louvres and countersinks for outer profiles, internal cut-outs and formed features.

Electric servo-driven and hydraulic Amada press brakes form precision bends, channels, brackets and enclosure walls.

TIG, MIG, robotic and spot welding support joined assemblies, with fastener insertion and in-house powder coating for fitted and finished components. Zinc plating and galvanising are coordinated through specialist partners.
Engineering
4 capabilities
Material grade and thickness are reviewed against the component and manufacturing requirements. Stainless steel 304 and 316 suit applications where corrosion resistance is important, while aluminium can reduce component weight. Material choice also affects forming, welding, finishing and cost.

We check material suitability, bend access, hole placement, fastening and assembly requirements before cutting begins. Design for manufacture can identify features that are difficult or costly to produce, while bend radius, flange length, tool clearance, material and thickness all influence how a part can be made. See design and engineering.

Achievable tolerances vary with material, thickness, feature and manufacturing process. Mark critical dimensions and acceptance requirements on your drawing so we can agree the appropriate inspection method before production. Where required, include any traceability or inspection documentation in your quote request.

We can produce prototypes to check fit, mounting locations and assembly access before repeat manufacture. Any revisions can then be incorporated into the production drawing, with quantity and timing confirmed as part of the quotation.

From the first conversation about the part to components checked against the agreed requirements.
Define the part, purpose, material and quantity.
Check geometry, tolerance requirements and processes.
Assess fit and revise the design.
Cut, punch, form, join and finish as specified.
Verify agreed acceptance requirements and organise dispatch.
“Our customers don’t just come to us to make something. They come to us to solve a problem. That’s the conversation we want to have from day one.”
Graziano Bratovic, General Manager, Amapro
Applications
We fabricate enclosures, chassis, brackets, panels and cabinets for commercial and industrial applications, with material, finish and design requirements matched to how each component will be used.
Indoor and outdoor cabinets and enclosures.
Shelves and trays for installed equipment.
Rack frames and ventilated enclosures.
Trays and rails for cable management.
Brackets and mounting components.
Access panels and protective covers.
Quoting
Send us enough information to identify the part, confirm the right fabrication processes and prepare an accurate quote. We accept STEP, STP, DXF, DWG, IGES and PDF files. Pricing depends on the material, geometry, number of operations, quantity, finishing and inspection requirements.
Latest 2D drawing and 3D model where available, including revision.
Material grade and sheet thickness.
Required quantity, including prototype and repeat batch volumes.
Critical tolerances, bends, welds, fasteners and fit requirements.
Surface finish, colour and expected operating conditions.
Required timing, delivery destination and inspection documentation.
We combine local design support with CNC sheet metal fabrication, prototyping and finishing from our Dandenong South facility. Manufacturing in Melbourne since 1988, Amapro is part of the Prysmian / Warren & Brown group and supports customers across Australia. By reviewing cutting, forming, assembly and finishing requirements together before production, we can help identify potential issues early and keep the manufacturing process coordinated.

Based in Dandenong South, supporting customers Australia-wide.
Request a quoteSheet metal fabrication focuses on components made primarily from flat sheet using processes such as cutting, punching, folding, welding and finishing. Typical outputs include enclosures, panels, brackets, chassis and cabinets.

Questions
Drawing submission, combined processes, material selection, prototyping, powder coating and order logistics. Final manufacturability and timing depend on the agreed component specification.
Yes. Amapro accepts customer-supplied drawings and models in STEP, STP, DXF, DWG, IGES and PDF formats. Include the current revision, dimensions, material grade, thickness and quantity. A sketch or sample can start an enquiry, although a production-ready drawing may be required before manufacturing.
Yes. Amapro provides CNC cutting, punching, press brake folding, welding, powder coating and assembly, run as one production workflow in its Dandenong South facility. Specialist finishes such as zinc plating and galvanising are coordinated with partners, so confirm which finishing operations apply to the component.
Yes. Grade and thickness affect material cost, formability, cutting and welding requirements. The required finish, cut length, bending complexity and number of components also influence the final quote. Include the nominated grade and thickness on the drawing so feasibility can be reviewed and the right processes selected.
Yes. Amapro offers rapid prototyping and design iteration before production. A prototype can be checked for fit, bend geometry, hole alignment and assembly access. Record any changes in a revised drawing before placing the production order so the approved design is used for repeat manufacturing.
Yes. Amapro has an in-house powder coating facility, with standard colours and custom RAL or Dulux colour matching. Specify the required appearance, colour, surface preparation and operating environment at quotation; suitability depends on the substrate and component design.
Yes. Amapro manufactures in Dandenong South and supplies customers across Melbourne and Australia-wide. Confirm the destination, packaging and freight timing when requesting a quote, and arrange collection directly with Amapro if you prefer.
Send your latest drawing or concept, preferred material, quantity, finish, critical tolerances and required date through the enquiry form, and the team will review the fabrication sequence before pricing.
